Yes, I am a slug

I had such good intentions of keeping my fab finds current. Epic fail!
So, without further adieu, here's some vintage eye candy or just plain tacky old stuff depending upon you, the beholder. From where I sit, whether it's my style or not, these vintage pieces of pre-owned lovlies speak to me of times past when the livin' was just much easier.

Fab fifties rotary liquor dispenser

The date on the inside reads 1941!

Adorable little aluminum and glass butter dish.

Pretty gravy boat with solid turquoise inside.
Can't say what the pattern is, though.

Bubble glass ashtray is 4 inches wide

Vintage clown cookie jar stamped ESD japan

Adorable aluminum set of cookie cutters

Ombre wine decanter

Double egg coddler with bird motif

Sweetest little embroidered purse.

LARGE enamelware pot. I could cook lobster in this, perhaps?

Goodwood teak cheese tray

What a great find! I wonder if this vintage jigger is measure over an ounce?

Sweet milk glass & roses sandwich tray set

From a Beatix Potter book.. poor little mousie

... but little mousies are so smart.

Gorgeous ombre ice bucket, a la Mad Men style!

Pretty little sparkly buttons.

Ice cream tastes better from a pink sundae dish.

Nice metal buttons for perhaps a DIY jewelry project.

I love the patina this size three shoe stretch carries.

My Affliction to Vintage Addliction

These fab finds come looking for me. I just wanted to make that clear. They even know my name!

Vintage Avon Soap Sets...

I went to one of my usual thrift shops and almost left empty handed. But then, something caught my eye and behold... a collection of boxed Avon soaps from the 70s & 80s. I can't confirm the dates because they are not on the boxes but I did do a bit of googling and got some information on a few. Someone just decided to get rid of their collection and I scored 10, yes TEN of these beauties.

Originally, there was a metal cover with a thermometer but I guess they decided to use it.

No soap dish but such a pretty bar of soap.

I think I like the artwork on this box the most.
It's so 70s, isn't it?

Vintage Yumminess

Some are recent finds with the exception of the vintage yellow earrings and necklace which were gifted to me. The Aldo clutch is not vintage but I kept going back to it, picking it up and going goo-goo over it. Will I ever use it? No. But I had to bring it home with me anyway.

80s silver plate brooch that instantly
brings to mind big hair and shoulder pads.

I fell for the rhinestone clasp.

Sweetest Aldo clutch. It's more like a deep fuscia than red.

Lacquered box that I kept going back to and looking at.
It was calling my name.

I had an idea for reupholstering a vintage wrought iron
gossip bench but it was not right for our decor. Bummer.

Vintage Estée Lauder perfumed pendant. I did walk away from
this one and went back the next day and bought it.

Gorgeous Givenchy pendant.

From a friend... nothing mellow about this yellow!
