I love these little sherbet glasses. They are 70's Luminarc and the pattern is Cavalier. I have noticed from my research that some have 'straight' stems while these have a more decorative stem. Bottom line is they're made in France (oh la la), as indicated on the bottoms and are in lovely condition. I would say the colour is more like garnet but, really, are we splitting hairs here? Me thinks perhaps.

Vintage Libbey Condiment Set
A sweet find! No matching spoons but that's nothing as spoons for this set would be easy enough to replace (little glass ones would be perfect). On really hot summer days when it's just easier to fire up the bbq and have a hot dog or hamburger (totally gourmet, of course) this cutie patootie condiment set would come in rather handy, don't you think?

Vallila Finland 1978 Fabric.... Oh, joy!
While browsing through one of my favorite spots, I thought I'd rummage through the fabric bins in hopes of finding something to cover a lamp shade. I'll have to keep looking but I did happen across this lovely vintage piece. It's marked Vallila Finland 1978. The signature on the fabric is lost on me, though.
I don't think it was ever washed (yuk!) so I gave it a cold water wash as it's not colorfast, and hung to dry. Sad to say, there are a few minor stains on the bottom but, overall, it's a great find and the colors are incredibly vibrant.
Is this not a beautiful thing?

Bakelite Drawer Pulls
This set of six drawer pulls and 2 knobs came from a dresser we got from an estate sale of a friend's dad. The dresser needed too much work so I salvaged the the knobs and pulls with the intent of doing something with them... one day. It's been a few years now and here they sit.

Pretty rhinestone buttons
If I were a crafty gal (I'm not but I sure have put effort into some projects) I would surely find a use for these buttons. I can't say for sure if they're vintage or not. The four large ones remind me of something you'd see on a 60's jacket. The amber ones, I can envision on a cardigan. The two sparkly rhinestone buttons are for sure vintage. These would be perfect with any shabby project.

Pinteresting....
Check it out!
If you don't know, this is a new site where you can create any themed board you wish and 'pin' images to them for inspiration or just plain drooling over. When you pin a photo to your board, the link to that site will appear below the image. What a fab way to direct traffic to your site, especially as I'm gearing up to get my Vintage Shop going.
All you need to do is send a request for an invitation. When they contact you, just sign up and follow the instructions. Here's the link that explains all that. I'm just starting to pin images now, some of my own from my blog and some from other's boards. You can pin any image from any site! I can see how it could become an addiction.

Roly Poly Glasses
Last summer, I discovered a new place to seek out vintage lovelies in an oceanside tourist town. I'm sure the tourists will be all over the place like they are at a couple of my other haunts but that's not an issue... tourist season is short and I'm not going anywhere.
My recent visit there had me jumping for joy over cast iron frying pans. Yes, two small ones that I've been on the lookout for - you know, the ones you can buy new just totally suck. They are not the same at all.
And then, I spied with my little eye this set of six roly poly glasses. I started to do my homework on these little gems and was a bit sad to learn they aren't Dorothy Thorpe glasses which are incredible with a thick soft silver rim (as in real silver).
Still, these are very nice and in great condition. They also had three roly poly glasses with eames era boomerang shaped graphics in gold and turquoise. I lit up when I saw them but, sadly, only one of them still had the gold in tact so I passed. So sad, indeed.
