Snail's Pace & New Finds

I've not gotten off to the start I had hoped for but I am slowly chewing through thousands of photos, cleaning them up and getting them ready for listing. So much work! Maybe I'm like the tortoise rather than the hare.

And I'm excited to have some freelance work happen my way which has kept me somewhat busy over the past while! All that aside, I've realized my blog(s) have been sorely neglected but, hey... it's summer and I'm not much into sitting in front of my computer in stifling heat. Sorry excuse, I know, but here I am after one in the morning, working on photos of my 'inventory'.

I have to wonder how many of these vintage finds invoke childhood memories that give that warm, fuzzy feeling. For me, this is what it's all about!

Off to the Races!

I'm excited and overwhelmed all at once. For what seems like a forever waiting period, I'm now free to pursue my hoarding hobby of seeking out fab vintage finds and launch my online store.

I'm like a kid in a candy shop when it comes to scoring a great find from the days when life seemed so much more balanced. Those days when Mom could stay home and raise the kids, home ownership was affordable and it was safe for kids to play outside all day without parental supervision. Well, it was like that for me.

So, in the days to come I will be busy getting my wares listed and ready for my Fab Finds store. I know there's going to be a bit of a learning curve but, bah... no biggie. Looking back to my days as a prepress technician and the transition from analog to digital, now, THAT was a learning curve and a constant one, too, as technology moves at a rather fast pace.

I'm out of that race now so this new venture (and it's forthcoming learning curve) should be easy peasy. I used to joke to my Hubs that I was collecting inventory for my online store, but really it was just a matter of too many good finds to pass up. It's no joke now. I'm doing this!

Yes, I am a slug

I had such good intentions of keeping my fab finds current. Epic fail!
So, without further adieu, here's some vintage eye candy or just plain tacky old stuff depending upon you, the beholder. From where I sit, whether it's my style or not, these vintage pieces of pre-owned lovlies speak to me of times past when the livin' was just much easier.
